my church commemorates it to acknowledge what past saints hav done to give us the Bible as we know it, freeing people frm relying on the corrupt papacy of the roman catholic church

before the reformation, only the priests could read the scriptures, and the common people could not discern what wad was the truth / priests can use the knowledge to scam ppl of their hard-earned savings or to do their bidding

martyrs such as Martin Luther [german guy, nt the one who fought against apartheid =/ ], John Calvin, William Tyndale, John Hus and many others set forth and eventually gave their lives for Christ to 'protest' against the corrupt rule of the roman catholic church, thus coining the term 'Protestants' =)

but now, gt new method of atk-ing God's Word, the Modern English Versions
dilute and corrupt God's Word, make ppl think tt they r saved bcos they think as long they have a Bible in their hands, they r 'free', but they actually not saved
think of wad disastrous consequences this will hav when they pass away and meet God, only to find out that they will still end up in Hell?

some churches ignore wad the martyrs hav done, some even going to sign an agreement to join the roman catholic church, or using the Modern English Versions =/
please, i plead wif u as a friend, those who r doing so, pls stop continuing, i dun wan to see you walking the pathway towards hell ='(

General William Booth of the Salvation Army aptly commented about the end times which weare now living in : '...religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and heaven without hell.'

why settle for something inferior when we already something perfect?

the King James Bible [KJB] is the best so far, the Modern English Versions [MEV] should not been seen as a 'better' version of the Bible,
many MEV-s use corrupt manuscripts, have a different translating system[thought-for-thought translation instead of word-for-word translation used for KJB], many additions and subtractions have been made to them, corrupting the Word of God [refer to Revelations 22: 18-19 to see the consequences of doing so], so why do you be part of those who will be punished by God?

i sincerely urge those who are using MEV-s to understand,
i know i may nt b a gd testimony for God...
but i hav to write this, to do my part to tell others more abt Christianity and hope that u will understand...
