2nd day of VLC:

as usual, had morning PT [feels weird to have See Ming nt shouting at us at all, very 不习惯 le, but ~very nice~ (Borat accent, lol)], then breakfast of biscuits, bread and milo. after that we had lecture on Venturing and its ExeCo duties. we were supposed to have a backwoodsman lunch but it was raining heavily, luckily See Ming had the foresight to tell us to take our belongings into the SALT centre heh. then the program was tweaked abit, and pioneering projects was pushed forward instead.

for the pioneering project, we had to build a 'mobile artillery' to shoot waterbombs at the other ExeCos, 华龙/us decided to build a more compact catapult as we wanted to use near-range attk on Seashells and Horlicks heh. in the end, we played it at the area below the sch's spar rack bocs of the rain [ originally planned to have it on the large field, but the rain sabo-ed everything ]. but everything gt its own benefits, cos our design was compact, gd to bomb others in near range hehe, and gt overhanging beams to block Seashells and Horlicks atks muahaha. we only had 7 waterbombs, and Kok Hon the panda had gained a new status of Best Waterbomb-Blocker, tanking a total of abt 5 shots at his teams 'claps'. then we dismantled our structures, and See Ming told us that we would have a speed round, using the least time to build a structure and bomb others at our own time. much of the fun was gone as we waited for ppl to fill up the waterbombs, but overall still v fun \o/

it was raining so we no choice, cant do backwoodsman, so had catered chicken rice instead. then we had time to plan our campfire items, it was around this time that Hwa Chong VentureZ'08 modified 3 common campfire songs [ by the light/moonlight bay/pearly shells ] to niao Zhe Wei and his curly hair [ all started bcos Zhe Wei go niao Kenii's chinese name, and it didnt help at all when Jerrold and Kenii were the emcees for the campfire lol ]

华龙 then planned a skit of random stuff where i had to act as Chick [ based on Chicken Little ], Jun Hui as Emo Kid, Chun Lian (Gan Eng Seng Venture ) as 僵尸/讲诗, JinX as Gatsby sprayer and Samantha (another Gan Eng Seng Venture and the only female in the camp, haha) as narrator, lol i slept (stupid car horns....) when most details were planned out while Zhe Wei (aka monkey) scuffled wif Kok Hon (aka panda) while the rest did their own stuff [wasnt paying attention as my eyes were closed lol]

by then the rain stopped, so we decided to cook some eggs (frm the egg tower game haha) as backwoodsman prac, using leftover fruits frm ytd's supper as 'bowls' for the egg. [orange egg any1?] while some of us went to prepare the campfire fire pit

after we had dinner and R&R [Rest & Rest acccording to JingXi / JinX], we went for the campfire.....but then rain came pouring down again -.-, so we had an indoor campfire instead, using the egg towers as the 'campfire' lol

the campfire is the best 1 i had so far, wif Jerrold and Kenii as emcees, plenty of songs [and i mean PLENTY, and in many diff languages too, lol ], games [such as 中机密码, scissors-paper-stone game ( where i emerged winner -.-, and after that the prize was for my grp to perform our skit,erps =.= )] yea, it was the greatest campfire i ever had so far, wif Zhan Hao as PAP and Matt Yang (aka clone) as The Contender.....haha shoik sia, Kok Hon acted as Kung Fu Panda, and i acted as the Chick, feel like auto-replaying the whole campfire sia, but wait, it was the finale which was the best part as VentureZ'08 all sang the ZheWei-ed version of 'by the light/moonlight bay/pearly shells', but it was quite crappy imo due to the fact that most of us didnt noe abt the 2nd version of the 1st stanza but still, lotsa fun niao-ing ZheWei's curly hair.....

after that we had wash-up and the ever-horrid idea of night turn-up [night pt, night inspection, etc....], but woah See Ming and our JC seniors shocked us by NOT planning a turn-up, wah lau reverse psychology.....

3rd day of VLC:
sian last day liao, we had morning PT, then breakfast of bread, biscuits and milo, but this time we had to finish all the food. Jerrold demonstrated his GEP intelligence by pouring hot water into a nalgene-like waterbottle BEFORE putting milo powder. the rest of the ventures were given another sample of his IQ when he poured too much hot water into the bottle, making the whole mixture boiling hot. (ok, mayb the rest of us niao-ed him too much, then he did tt) even after running the whole bottle under cold water, we finally had a nice bottle of.......stale-tasting water which looked like muddy water frm the side, haha [apparently milo powder wif bread isnt too bad either...]

after breakfast we had 1 last lecture on how practical skills learnt in scouting/venturing would be useful in our future careers, each ExeCo oso had to make our 'badge' based on the 4 most impt values our ExeCo chose out of the list we made. after the inspiring lecture, we went to clear up the area, changed to full uniform, and received our VLC certificate and badge. then it was home sweet home.....
